The Irish Catholic community in Savannah have and continue to celebrate the feast of St. Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland since 1824. This year, at 8:00am on March 17th, we begin the day by attending Mass at the Basilica Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. In addition to Celtic societies and Irish families, Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade features pipe bands and Irish dancers from all over the East Coast – Florida to New York.
